From Brazil to New York City

My name is Marcello Sobrinho, and my journey has been anything but ordinary.  Born and raised in Brazil, I came to the United States with a dream, an unwavering work ethic, and a deep belief that through hard work and persistence, anything is possible.

I began my new life in California, where I pursued higher education and graduated with honors in Finance from San Jose State University.  Shortly after, I moved to Florida to continue building both my career and my education, earning my MBA from Florida International University.

Early in my career, I had the unique opportunity to work with Celsius Inc., a small but ambitious startup in the health and fitness space.  As a National Sales Manager, I spent four years helping the company grow and eventually go public on NASDAQ—a defining experience that taught me the value of vision, resilience, and innovation.

From there, I joined ADP Inc., a Fortune 500 leader in payroll and human capital management.  

But throughout these career achievements, I realized where my true passion lies: helping people build, preserve, and enjoy their wealth. 

Today, as a Wealth Advisor with LPL Financial in New York City, I provide personalized independent customized collaborative professional, investments and financial planning.  My mission is simple—empower individuals, families, and business owners to create financial security and long-term success.

I currently hold my Series 7, Series 66, and Life & Health Licenses, which allow me to deliver a holistic approach to financial planning. Beyond my professional practice, I am deeply engaged in the community as a member of the Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn & Long Island City Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce and Brazilian Professionals Abroad Association.

Outside of work, I am always striving to grow personally—whether through reading, traveling to new countries, fitness, nutrition, meditation, or continuing to expand my knowledge of finance.

From my beginnings as a Brazilian immigrant to building a life and career in one of the greatest cities in the world, my story is a reminder that with hard work and passion, we can all create the future we envision.
